A phone call from last Saturday...

It was about 9:30am when the phone rang last Saturday, it went something like this:

Me- "Hello"

Aunt- "Ahhh... Did Delainey happen to have a loose tooth?"

Me- "Kind of..... why?"

Aunt: "Which tooth"

Me: "Why...." starting to get worried

Aunt: "Just curious"

Me: "The one on her bottom, center left"

Aunt: "Are you sure it wasn't the one on the right?"

Me: "I am most certain that it was the one on the left. What the hell happened? "

Aunt: "Well Delainey was blowing up her air bat and I pushed on it to blow the air back into her face, well then Delainey's tooth came out"

Delainey in the background "Nooooo... You pulled it"...

Aunt: "Well I kind of pulled on it but not that hard"

Me: " It must have been fairly hard to pull out the tooth that wasn't even loose"...

Long story short, our baby girl is now down one tooth and one dollar richer, although a cousin of her's told her today that HER tooth fairy gave her $5...

Shelby and Avery's First Day of Preschool

Today was Shelby and Avery's first day of preschool... it went really well from where I was standing... It did get off to a rocky start because there was some anxiety, but overall everything worked out well and the girls are excited to go back tomorrow :) They LOVED the bus by the way *this was a HUGE fear for me*

Delainey of course had to help drop them off... it was cute, but it was also funny to see how BIG she looked compared to all the preschool kids considering she was just there last year :)

Delainey's First Day of Kindergarten

check out the skulls and crossbones on both her sweater, necklace and on her back pack. Our girl is starting with the 'goth' look already :) Is it bad that my preacher's wife friend said this?!?!? :) Is this what happens when a 'catholic' and a 'lutheran' have babies together ;)

My baby girl on her first day... she even let me have a hug and a kiss in front of ALL her class.

I think Daddy had a harder time with today than either Delainey or I did...

I want for this to be a tradition... this wall with all the kids each first day of school :)

In Delainey's class they don't have desk for kindergarten...they sit at tables. Here she is in front of her name tag. She was less than impressed that the kid who sits next to her ENTIRE name is shorter than just her first name :) The dad tried to make Delainey feel better by saying... well you can spell and write your name... *insert child's name here* can't.. :)

Delainey was more than happy to be getting back into school... she has been bored for some time and is certainly glad to be be back in school. Her first day went really well. She was glad that she didn't drop her lunch tray and even got to play 3 times outside (Thurs is gym day so they get two recesses and one gym outside)... she has asked to pack a lunch tonight for tomorrow because she doesn't like cheesy bread which is being served :) Her teacher said she did very well and had a very good day.

My baby girl is in kindergarten... these firsts are all to bittersweet...

My little man...

The time has come for that first haircut on our little boy. It seems that even though the front of his hair still hasn't come in *I blame the Krumwiede hairline* we had finally reached the point the the mullet had to go. You see at my cousin's graduation party on Sunday the comment was made that we could probably get a pony tail holder in the back of Brody's hair. Well once we got home, Delainey tried it-- and succeeded, so that was the final straw. We called my cousin Ryan's friend Ashley and BAM...baby boy got a hair cut.... and now looks like a little boy, who is the size of a 9 month old ha!

Hair cuts all around....

Yesterday was "haircut" day for Shelby and Avery, and Delainey had her's cut on Sunday (we didn't bring the camera for her though, as her haircut was a spur of the moment)... Shelby and Avery each got about 3 inches cut off. While 3 inches doesn't 'sound' like a lot it definately is when you "look" at them. While they have both had one hair cut before this was the first time that I had actual 'length' taken off because they just looked straggly...but now we should be able to just do small trims to keep it healthy now that their hair is all one length...
