Signs...

I will be the first to tell you that I don’t believe in ‘signs’… but I have to say that today I got hit by a doozy of one.
My grandparents, and also an aunt and uncle have been asking us if we would be putting the kids into Catholic school. I thought about it for a while, and after long consideration we decided that aside from the cost aspect it probably wasn’t going to be a good fit for our family as a whole. We thought that the school wouldn’t offer assistance to Shelby later down the road so we didn’t want to have the kids at different schools so we pretty much wrote off the subject of having the kids attend the Catholic schools in our neighborhood.
At the end of the school year my grandparents asked me again to think about enrolling Delainey in the parish school, so I figured I would call and just see what they say. They told us that the kindergarten class was already full and that they would wait-list Delainey. I figured that meant that it would be a no go, so we enrolled her in the public school for our neighborhood.
We have been calling back to see where Delainey was on the list over the past few weeks and the last time that I called, they told me that there were 5 kids ahead of Delainey…which to me meant to give up and just be ‘ok’ with Delainey going to the public school in our neighborhood.
Well today I received a MAJOR sign (that is if I believed in signs). When I came home from my errands, I noticed on the caller id that our church had called. And honestly… I wasn’t going to check the messages because our family priest has mentioned after my grandfather’s funeral that he was going to call me to sign up for doing readings during mass… well at 4:30 the phone rang again… it was the school. Apparently in the last two weeks Delainey has moved from #6 on the list to having a spot in the class. There are also options for us when it comes to the cost of tuition too. But here is the MAJOR sign (if I believed in signs that is) the parish school currently have 6 children who have SPD, and they are thriving WITHOUT IEPs and without the rest of the school knowing their business.
Chad and I obviously have to have a long talk about this tonight, but we currently have Delainey’s spot reserved for school… I think SOMEONE definitely had a hand in this … well that would be if we believed in signs that is… there are also some other things we want to discuss to make sure this is the right fit for our kids, but we certainly feel that 'someone' has worked something for us recently...

Signs...

I have always been a believer of "Everything happens for a reason", in signs and also in this little quote of my own " Life is a journery with out directions.... we just get the map at the end"...

So I felt that I needed to share the wonderful sign that Angel Tuesday was able to give her Mommy, Daddy, sister and brothers yesterday. Please check out the post HERE.
