"Motherhood brings as much joy as ever, but it still brings boredom, exhaustion, and sorrow too. Nothing else ever will make you as happy or as sad, as proud or as tired, for nothing is quite as hard as helping a person develop his own individuality especially while you struggle to keep your own." -- Marguerite Kelly and Elia Parsons

Pray for Stellan ** UPDATE**
Earlier today I wrote out the following prayer:
Pray for Stellan...
Normally on Monday's I am a copy cat and follow the wonderful tradition that was started by MckMama over at her blog www.mckmama.com but instead today in honor of Stellan and his current situation I have decided we should have "Pray for Stellan Monday"...
If you are interested in Stellan's story you can go over to MckMama's blog and see all the details of Stellan's story. This little boy is certainly a true sign of God in this world...as are his parents and his amazing family.
So if you could, pop over to the MckMama's Blog get up to date on the details and then say a prayer for Stellan, his family, his doctors and of course families in crisis everywhere... Our thoughts and prayers are with all of "Team Stellan"... Once you are on the Mck-Family blog you will see a prayer map...and just sign yourself right up...
"Heavenly father... please lift Stellan, his parents, his family and his doctors into your arms. They all need your guidance and mercy on this day and always. Please lead the doctors' hands with your healing grace. Please hold Stellan's parents while they can not be together. Please Lord allow for your work to continue to be done through this precious boy and his family... Thy will be done... Amen"

Please pray...
for our cousins Ryan and Taryn...
Their precious baby girl Ella passed away today. Ella was born in March at 24 weeks gestation and fought hard and strong for 12 weeks. But today her little body could fight no more...
Please pray for Ryan and Taryn (and the rest of our families) at this time of such pain and loss. All of our lives have forever been changed by Precious Princess Ella Jo Krumwiede.
While Ella was only with us for 12 weeks, the love and strength that this amazing little angel showed us is so great. We will all be better for having been blessed by the life of Ella Jo. Our hearts are broken...some day they will mend...but always will Ella have a hold on those mended broken hearts.
Thank you!

Hi/Lo Thursday
This post is part of "Hi/Lo Thursday" on the Riggs Family Blog. Check out their blog to read everyone else's "Hi/Lo" posts and get your link on their site.My high would definately be that the semester is almost over for mine and Chad's college classes and that we will soon be able to just enjoy the kids in our family time instead of struggling with homework and family balance.
The low, would be that means that finals are coming up and I am so not ready for them...
Another high would be that our "niece" Ella seems to be having better days in the NICU and another low would be that Darian King has lost his earthly battle with cancer. Please say prayers for both of these families...
A third high would be that Stellen is home with his family. Not only is he home with his family but the complications that were caused by a previous surgery on his heart seems to have disappeared. He is now 6 months old...quite the accomplishment for a child who's parents were told that he would not live long enough to even be born.
God is working in ways that so many do not know or understand but I know that he is...

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST
Our 'niece' Ella is in need of some prayers right now. As you know Ella was born one month ago at 24 weeks gestation. She has been doing as well as expected for a micr-preemie of her age/size, but this last week she has been having some issues with retaining fluid *alot of Ella's nutrition is IV nutrients and therefor is put into her body via an IV and comes with 'extra' water*, previously she had been passing this water on her own. This past week the doctors have been giving her some medication to help her pee some of the excess fluid off, but it seems that those medications have stopped working.... so now Ella has got to get the excess fluid out of her system herself... so if you could please put some prayers out their for our precious Princess Ella, we would all very much appreciate it.... www.caringbridge.org/visit/ellakrumwiede

Change of pace...
Instead of having a Not me Monday... I am going to have a "I am thankful Monday"....
- I am thankful that the flooding in my area seems to have subsided for now...we do still have the risks because of the current blizzard (16+ inches of snow and snow that has NOT STOPPED for over 28 hours), but we are safe, warm and dry... who could ask for more
- I am thankful that our "niece" (technically Chad's cousin's daughter, but isn't it just easier to say niece) is doing AMAZING for being a 24 week preemie...Princess Ella Jo is being a very 'boring' resident at the U of M Children's Hospital-Riverside...HEY boring is AWESOME in the NICU
- I am thankful for my wonderful children...even on days like today when I felt that I was the only one who could hear my own voice bouncing off the walls, I am thankful that I have these amazing little miracles who call me Mom... I am so completely blessed
- I am thankful that with the economy the way that it is that my husband has a job, we have food on the table and even a bit extra for some fun things...
- I am thankful for my amazing support group of friends, family and wonderful blog readers who offer such awesome support and friendship.
- I am thankful that my grandfather's treatments seem to be working and his throat cancer is being healed.
Honestly...there is so much more that I am thankful for, but I certainly do not want to sound like I am boasting...
I also have some prayer requests:
- Baby Stellan http://www.mycharmingkids.net/ has been in the hospital for going on 10 days with some heart issues... please pray for his family
- The entire Riggs Family http://www.riggsfamilyblog.com/, their is so much on this wonderful family's plate but yet their faith in God and their strenght in their family unit never falters...
- Continues prayers for our 'niece' and her parents during this journey of life in the NICU and beyond...
- Prayers for those who have been effected by the flooding and horrible weather conditions in North Dakota and Upper Mid-West...
- Praise for all the amazing people who stepped up and showed what it meant to be a true North Dakotan and helped so many people during our flooding crisis.
- prayers for my grandfather who is battling throat cancer...his blood levels have not yet returned to a safe level so he can continue with his treatments.
- Prayers for all our service men and women who put their lives on the line every day so that we may sleep fitfully in our beds each night...
- and last but not least...some unspoken prayers for others...
Please remember to be thankful for what you have...we are so lucky without even realizing it

MAJOR PRAYER REQUESTS:
I have several prayer requests right now:
First and foremost, our cousin Ryan and his wife delivered their daughter last night. Baby Ella Jo was born weighing 1 lbs 3 ozs at roughly 24 weeks gestation. Please add this family to your prayers... from what we told Baby Ella is holding her own for now. Please pray for a quick recovery from the surgery for Taryn. This is not going to be an easy road for them, but with God's grace and lots of prayers it should make it a bit easier.
Secondly, the Bismarck area is suffering greatly from flooding. My aunt, cousin and uncle and his entire family have been evacuted from their homes (all in different parts of the south side of Bismarck). We have spent the better part of the morning moving belongings and helping in any way that we can.
Heavenly Father-
With you grace and strength please surround us in our struggles and give us hope. Keep baby Ella, Ryan and Taryn in your arms during this journey for them. Please help the residents of our area to be able to stay strong and put their trust in you.
Amen...

Prayer Request....
Hey there folks! I have a prayer request right now:
For our cousins Ryan and Taryn. Taryn is currently 20 weeks pregnant with their first child. Taryn learned this week that she has an incompetent cervix, she has since been placed on STRICT bed rest...and will remain for quite some time. Thankfully she is able to be at home in her own enviroment at this time, but as the Krumwiedes know far to well, situations like this can change at a moments notice. Ryan of course is running around crazy trying to take care of his wife and baby, but from what Taryn says...HE IS DOING A ROCKSTAR job.
So any and all prayers would be greatly appreciated for Ryan, Taryn and their precious baby.

Sad day for Motorcross fans...
FOR THE WHOLE AP STORY CLICK HERESAN JOSE, Costa Rica (AP)—Jeremy Lusk, an American freestyle motocross racer, died of head injuries Tuesday after crashing while trying to land a backflip in competition. He was 24.
Jorge Ramirez, chief of the intensive care unit at Calderon Hospital where Lusk was taken, said the motocross racer suffered severe brain damage and a possible spinal cord injury.
Lusk won a gold medal at the 2008 X Games. He was injured Saturday night when he failed to complete a full rotation while attempting a Hart Attack backflip and slammed headfirst into the dirt. Lusk crashed in almost identical fashion in the freestyle semifinals at the 2007 X Games but was not hurt.
He had a successful 2008 season, winning Freestyle gold at the X Games and silver in Best Trick when he landed the first double-grab Hart Attack backflip. He won a bronze helmet in Freestyle at the Moto X World Championships in his hometown of San Diego.
Ramirez said Lusk died with his parents and his wife, Lauren, at his side.
“He was in a medicine-induced coma as a protective measure, and the medicine was being reduced to see how his organism responded,” he said. “That didn’t mean he was going to wake up. He was in shock and that got worse last night, until he stopped responding and entered into cardiac and respiratory failure.”
Lusk lived in Temecula, Calif.

Our thoughts and prayers certainly go out to this family and everyone who knew Jeremy...he was a wonderful rider and an even more wonderful person....Heaven's Xgames is gonna rock even more now with Jeremy on the team!

As a childhood cancer survivor myself, this story has touched me beyong belief...especially now being a mommy and a mommy of twins. Please stop by this blog and offer up some prayers for this family. They certainly need them. The road they are about to embark on is not an easy one... May God's glory and love surrond them all during this time....

Could use some prayers please
Hey there my wonderful blog following friends... If you could spare some prayers for me, my mental health and also some personally stuff going on right now I would really appreciate it. It seems like everytime I 'think' I am starting to get things figured out and get my head on straight there always seems to be a new bump or earthquake that unsettles so many things.
So again if you could... please say a little prayer for me....
Thanks-

Prayer requests...
In 2004 I joined an online support board for women who were struggling with TTC, because of this board I formed wonderful friendships with a small group of ladies...these 5 ladies and myself have remained in contact over the years. We have gone on to TTC those babies, and some (all of us in fact) have gone on to have another successful pregnancy as well.
Today I recieved some news that one of these friends is in need of some prayers. I myself do not know the details of the prayer request, but I was informed that this friend is in need of prayers and that is all that matter to me, so please pray for my dear friend and her family....
I also have a very good friend locally, who's family has been going through alot lately... if you could also say a prayer for them, that would be wonderful!!
Thank you-
Kristin

Prayers please...
Hello everyone. A dear friend and her family could certainly use some prayers right now. One week after Emma's 3rd birthday she was diagnosed with leukemia. As you all know this is a disease very near and dear to my heart. Thankfully Emma has ALL (who ever thought you'd be thankful for something like that) and the doctors have nothing but good thoughts/comments about Emma's treament and her outlook. But that doesn't mean that here there aren't worries or fears for my dear friend Kim.So if you could add my dear friend and her family to your prayers, it would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!!!

Praise ,Thanks, and Prayers
If you have been following the lives of the Lawrenson http://cfhusband.blogspot.com/ you will see that Tricia received her transplant last week. This post is to give PRAISE to God for finding the lungs that will give Tricia the strength to be with her husband and daughter (and the rest of her family) awhile longer. This post is to give THANKS to the wonderful doctors who were able to preform the surgery that gave Tricia the ability to breath a bit easier with CF free lungs. This post is also for PRAYERS for the family of the person who passed away. In order for Tricia to receive her lung transplant and be able to stay with her family awhile longer, another family had to say good bye to their loved one. I am sure that they are dealing with the loss and sadness of losing their loved one too soon. Please say an extra prayer for this family today as it is because of their generosity and kindness and their sense of giving in a tragedy that Tricia is allowed more time with her husband, daughter and the rest of her family...and with us as well.
Congratulations on your new lungs Tricia!! Talk about a birthday present for Nate huh?? (The transplant was preformed on Nate's 27th birthday)...
