Apparently my eldest daughter is completely comfortable with her body and doesn't care who sees it. This morning while I was running around trying to get everyone dressed so we could leave in a short while, Delainey was instructed to take her dog out to go to the bathroom.... As she was coming around the corner back into the living room and began putting her clothes on I didn't think anything of it...then I heard the dog bark from outside and it dawned on me.... DELAINEY HAD GONE OUTSIDE IN JUST HER PANTIES?!?!?!?!?

Oh... I love this child!!! LOL

Krumwiede Cousin 2008

Here is a picture of the Krumwiede Cousins. We were able to be together for a few days last weekend. The five kids in the middle (well basically just not Delainey and Brody) are all 2 years old and were all born within 4 months of each other. Apparently the Krumwiede boys (meaning the dads) like to do things together, because we were all married within 8 months of each other in 2001-2002 :)

I am done with my summer college classes! Woohoo!!! I can now enjoy a little bit of summer with my children without the stresses of homework/deadlines etc. Here's to some precious time with my kiddos!!

Happy 2 1/2 years Shelby and Avery

Our precious twin girls are now 2 1/2 years old. Where did the time go?!?! I mean seriously... where did my babies go ??

The girls are growing and changing in leaps and bounds. They are both receiving physical therapy for some of their motor skills issues, but are doing well with it.

We love you honey bunnies!!!

Hey there everyone ! Sorry for not blogging lately. We have been out of town for a good chunk of this last week and are very slowly adjusting back to life. I promise to do a post later tonight with some pictures from the vacation and also some other fun stuff...

Krumwiede Look-alike Meter

I know that I did this awhile ago (pre-Brody) but the kids have changed so much that I thought it was time to do it again.... :)

Another year on the board...

Today was the start of a new "board" year for Mom's Club. I am the AVP again. My job is that to run the fundraisers for our group as well as arrange speakers etc. I love the fundraising side of it. I often hear from people that I really should go into fundraising as a career, but personally when it isn't something I enjoy it can get to stressful and that just takes all the fun out of it. This year's fundraising ideas that I have are:

• Pizza Corner Pizzas (this is a DEFINATE MUST as it was a HUGE profit maker for us last year)
• Tastefully Simple...this one is up in the air because I am considering becoming a a consultant and would LOVE to do this for our group.

We will see where we go from here. But my 'plans' for the funds that we raise are to help stock the shelves at the Baby Boutique here in town. This is a program that was originally funded by the March of Dimes (another baby of mine) that helps low income parents help to supply their children with much needed things such as clothing, diapers, wipes etc. I will certainly let you know when the fundraiser is going to take place :)

We are now (FINALLY) the proud owners of a Wii console. We have been trying to get one of these for some time, but especially since I had an evening out with my friends from MOMS Club a few months ago.
Yesterday, on a whim I called the south Wal-Mart and asked if they had any Wiis and the gentlemen on the phone said that they had four in stock. By the time I got there there were only two left, so after I purchased mine there was only one. Today Chad, Delainey and I played bowling for quiet some time. In fact Delainey is very good when she is actually trying (rather than goofing off). We currently only have the sports game that came with the console, but there are several games that are on our 'want' list. Delainey also has a list going...so hopefully we can pass that along and people can go in on things for her for her birthday/Christmas this year :)

CHAD GOT A NEW JOB!!!!

We are so excited to announce that Chad received an offer for a new job (at a totally different company) yesterday and he has accepted. We as a family are very happy to hear this for several reasons (1) He will have day hours, (2) paid vacation, sick days and holidays, (3) day hours, (4)NO WEEKENDS, oh...and did I mention DAY HOURS?!?!?!

Chad and I are going to have quiet the adjustment period to this change as Chad has worked night for 5 of our 6 married years together (well as long as we have living in Bismarck actually). It should be interesting to see if any parenting dynamics change etc.

It will be wonderful to have him home with us in the evenings and on weekends and not have to worry about anyone calling and interrupting our family time. Oh...and another plus (for me anyways) is that he will have to dress up some (well for him it is dressing up) as he has to have office attire... ha! Granted that is just going to add to my laundry issues... HA! Win some you lose some.. LOL

Back in the sadle...

or should I say walking shoes!

After my weigh in tonight at Weight Watchers, it has become clear that I need to do something to switch up my program because the current one is not working. In fact I have gained 6 lbs since joining weight watchers 3 months ago.

So tonight I hit the streets (after a fairly rough day) and walked 2.52 miles :) I am fairly proud of myself and I hope to continue it. I need to start having a little bit of me time every day, and I think this is how I am going to 'ask' for it.

Brody is 6 Months Old

I can not believe that my baby boy is already 6 months old (well he was last week Wednesday). The time is going so fast and it really hits me that he will be our last biological child. He is growing and changing so much every day. He is such a happy baby and bring so much to our family at such a young age.

He is really starting to get fun now! He loves playing with his big sisters...well as well as a 6 month old can play. He loves it when Shelby plays "pe boo" with him. And you can always count on a smile from him if your day is going even slightly sour. Chad often says... "Good thing he looks so much like me, because otherwise I'd think we got the wrong baby"...

He had his 6-month check up yesterday and he is currently 18lbs (70th%) and 25 1/2 inches (25%). It is so weird to me having a child that is on the charts after our struggles with Shelby and Avery. Although I have to say that the "wow...he is a big boy" is almost (ALMOST) as annoying as "wow, they are tiny"... But on the bright side...we are VERY close to having to buy only one size of diapers... LOL!!!

God is good and our precious children are proof of that every day!!!

PRAYER REQUEST!!!

As you all know childhood cancer is a cause near and dear to my heart. Well sadly, another family that I know has had a child diagnosed with cancer. Precious little Corinne is a wonderful little 15 month old beautiful who last friend was diagnosed with a tumor in her belly. At this point we as by standers are not fully aware of the type of cancer that she has, but please life this family and this precious baby into your prayers....

A Tastefull success!!

Well as you all know, I had a Tastefully Simple party this past Sunday and I have to say that it was a HUGE success for myself as well as my dealer.... The total sales for my party were just over $1000.00 WOOHOO!!! I have to brag up my mom because she did an awesome job collecting orders for me at work and also all my family and friends that came to the party (or ordered). THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Makes me proud to be Catholic.... NOT!!!!!!!!

I am Catholic...I have never hidden that fact. But as some people I know have made it perfectly clear, in the eyes of the church I am going to hell (or at least pergatory until someone prays me out) because I don't go to services every Sunday...well and a few other things... According to church doctrine (Otherwise known as the Cathecism) if you do not attend church every Sunday and Holy Day it is a Mortal sin, and those are the "big" ones in the Catholic faith.

Well in the past few weeks I have heard more and more that makes me sad and almost ashamed to be Catholic....

A family friend has wanted to be a nun since she was three (SERIOUSLY....most little girls play dress up and pretend to get married...not A). Well a few years back she was diagnosed with RA (a form of arthritis) well the local abbey (sorry wrong 'name') almost didn't want to accept her because of these medical issues. She actually had to appeal to either the Bishop or the Pope (the reason I say either is because we have never been given the actual 'facts').

There is another story VERY similar to A's but because of what it still going on with that case I am not allowed to speak of it in detail... I just want it known that it makes me SICK!

But part of me could 'almost' (ALMOST) understand why the Church would not want to accept people into their 'callings' because of medical problems as the Church is responsible for their care/medical costs etc. (Gosh knows the Church doesn't have enough money to do that).... BUT when the church gets restraining orders against familys because of medical conditions to not allow them into church it is just DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!! Especially since the Church believes if you do not attend mass weekly and on holy days you are going to hell.... Well I guess in the case of this young man and his family they should get a 'get into heaven free card' because of their church's stupidity.... and it makes me SICK

so now I guess the message that I am getting out of this... is the Catholic church only wants healthy, completely well people to attend their services and go to their calling of being a church person... Wouldn't Jesus and God be proud!!!!

Shelby's speech evaluation results

I JUST got off the phone with the therapist that evaluated Shelby yesterday during her speech evaluation and here are here results:
REEL-3 = 103
PLS-4 = 101

The average range for both of these tests is 85-115. So Shelby does not need therapy at this time. The therapist did recommend that Shelby be reevaluated in 6 months (November) to see if she has improved or if she has stayed the same etc. But at this point she is right in the range of average :)

Chad of course says that I need to stop worrying but apparently 'dads' have that 'stop worrying skill' unlike moms :) I will update again once I find out the results of the girls PT evaluations

Confused...

Today Shelby had her speech evaluation. The therapist said that Shelby did a really good job. I asked if she thought Shelby needed services or not and this was her response "Well I will tally up the tests and then send them to your insurance company and go from there".... UMMM OK! So does my kid NEED services or not...... oh well I guess I will find out in a few days right?!?!

Shelby and Avery Update...

On May 30, Shelby and Avery had some evaluations at one of our local hospitals concerning their physical and occupational skills. Several people have asked us what the difference in the two therapies is and this is the ‘easiest’ definition that we have been able to find:
Although both types of therapy help kids improve the quality of their lives, there are differences. Physical therapy deals with the issues of pain, strength, joint range of motion, endurance, and gross motor functioning, whereas occupational therapy deals more with fine motor skills, visual-perceptual skills, cognitive skills, and sensory-processing deficits.
Anyways, the girls had previously been receiving therapies in both areas and when we switched pediatricians about a year ago our new pediatrician chose not to continue our referral for the therapies. As the girls have gotten older it has become more aware to Chad and I that while we would love to say they are just ‘clumsy’ (goodness knows that I am) they both have some issues that need to be addressed, so we were finally able to be given a referral back to our wonderful Dr. G (WE LOVE YOU DR.G!!!) and she again referred us for our therapy, but because the girls had been out of therapy for over 12 months they both had to be re-evaluated to see what services (if any) that they would need. We are glad to say that neither of the girls have to continue on with their occupational therapy and in fact, Avery is actually ‘scoring’ at a 35 month level (The girls are 29 months). Shelby is lagging a bit at 25+ (meaning not quite 26 months) but she is not ‘far enough’ behind to need services and she is well with in the ‘normal’ range for a preemie/multiple birth kiddos.
The girls were also reevaluated for their physical development and while the therapists are still ‘adding’ up their scores, it is very clear that both girls are going to need some assistance in different areas of that. I am hoping to hear more from them tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest and we will be able to set up some type of therapy schedule soon after that.
Shelby has a her speech evaluation tomorrow at 9:30am and then goes to get her new braces/orthodics fitted at 11am. Hopefully that too will help with some of her clumsiness.

We are ALIVE!!! I PROMISE

We have just had A LOT of stuff going on this past week. Yesterday we celebrated my grandparents’ 50^th Wedding Anniversary with a renewal of their vows and a reception/open house. It was beautiful…but it was also a lot of hard work. That has been what I have been doing this past week. We have been doing the ‘final’ running and planning, and of course on Friday we made over 600 sandwiches and set up for the party on Saturday. It was beautiful! I wish I could share pictures, but it would take me forever to get everyone’s permission.
