True Confessions Tuesday

True Confessions

Tomorrow starts the new CHALLENGE over at the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans, so I want to prep myself with a good old fashioned cleanse before it starts, but not the kind of cleanse that costs lots of money and makes me and my stomach miserable for days.... nope I am getting all the 'bad' out there and just letting it go from here, so here is my True Confessions Tuesdays.
  1. I have been eating like crap lately. In all honesty though, I have been doing it on purpose. You see I knew that this day was coming and I wanted to get my REALLY bad stuff out of the way ( you know like the cheese buttons we had for dinner last night).
  2. Emotionally I have been stuck in my trunk.. (this is a reference to the conscious discipline parenting style, meaning that I am not thinking things through)... some of it is the fault of others, but in the end it still comes back to how I let other people affect me and my emotions. Just because someone is a jerk to me doesn't mean that I have to be a jerk to other people.
  3. I am completely lacking the ability to say "no" lately. This is one of the BIG things about my ADD that really gets me in trouble. I spread myself far to thin and because of my wonderful horrid organizational and time management skills I end up in ALOT of trouble.
  4. Exercise has been a demon I have had no desire to exercise from my life... yesterday was literally the FIRST time I went for a walk in MONTHS...
  5. My house is a disaster. Nothing in its place and no place for anything
  6. School is kicking my ass the semester, but this is because I am not really giving it the all that it deserves.
  7. I miss my friends. I have been working several mornings each week, and while I get to hang out with one of my friends while I do it, I still miss my other friends too.
  8. My parenting lately has certainly been less than stellar... again I have been hanging out in my trunk and really need to work myself into my engine.
  9. I want a pair of jeans that fits that does NOT have a 2 as the first number of it
  10. I will try to be more positive and gracious. My life may not be the way that I want it, nor is it perfect, but it is still better than the lives that some have.
Ok... that's my purge for today... Good luck to everyone who is participating in the Shrinking Jeans Challenge for this next challenge.

Thursday Threes: If I would have known...

The Sisterhood is doing a new schedule of postings and Thursday is Thursday Threes... todays is If I would have known. Basically its like we get to go back in time and tell our younger selves what we know now... boy this should be interesting... lol

I would go back in time and tell myself that it really is ok to be me...*hell still can't wrap my mind around this one so how could I really go back in time and convince and even more insecure person of this*

I wish I wouldn't have cared so much about simply existing in my junior high and high school years... I mean really. I pretended like I didn't care...but I did.

I would tell myself that quality is more important that quantity when it comes to friendship.

I would tell myself that I am worth it... I do deserve it ....

I would tell that scared 15 year old that everyone would be ok... and that she didn't need to cut herself off from everyone because she was afraid that the cancer was going to win...because it wouldn't.

I wish I could tell that foolish 21 year old that she didn't have to do it... I would shake her and tell her it wasn't expected of her and that it would be best if she didn't...

And lastly... I wish I could go back to a year ago and tell myself that it wasn't going to be ok... that it would be a huge struggle to even want to wake up in the morning, but that I would do it... that I would wake up and make the most of it... and that I would be strong for myself and for my kids...

If only we knew then... what we know now.

Weigh in Wednesday Spring Fling Challenge Weigh-in #1

Sisterhood Spring Fling Challenge

Last week was the start of the new challenge over at the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans. I joined in the challenge but I wasn't able to post about it last week so here are my starting information for the challenge from last week;

Starting Weight 2/24: 243.6 lbs
I think that it is really apparent that I do not as well with my weight loss when I am not part of a 'challenge' per say. I let it go and kind of forget about it if I am not HAVING to put it online for the world to see. So for myself I think even if the sisterhood isn't having a challenge I am going to still do weigh in Wednesdays from now on.

My weight this week is 241.2 so I have a loss of 2.4lbs.

My goals for the challenge are:
  • stay on track with my points and report them online at www.weightwatchers.com
  • Drink 200ozs of water each day
  • exercise at least 3 times/week
  • no late night snacking, except for Thursday
With the new challenge at the Sisterhood we have been given teams so I have an even bigger support system than I have had in the past :) Good luck everyone!!!

Weigh-in Wednesday Rethink Your Shrink Week 5

Rethink Your Shrink!

It's Wednesday so you know what that means...WEIGH-IN DAY over at the Sisterhood. What do you mean I didn't weigh in last week? Right right... I completely spaced it out that week and realized it after I was already laying down in bed so I said that I would do it in the morning and...well yea it didn't get done. But I am glad to report that even though I took a week off of reporting I kept up with my goals and stayed on track. Here is the running total of my results to this point:

Starting Weight: 239.4
Starting BMI: 41.1

1/6 Weight: 237
1/6 BMI: 40.7

1/13 Weight 235.2
1/13 BMI: 40.1

This week's numbers:
Weight 232.2
BMI: 39.6

That means that I am down 3 lbs since the previous weigh in and down 7.2 pounds for the challenge. I am pretty excited about that. But I think I am more excited about the fact that I have lost 1.5 points off of my BMI, and I am in a smaller jean size than I have been in some time. So I would say that I can safely say good bye to the 240's FOREVER :)

Here are my goals from the previous week and my status on them:
  1. Continue on with my Weight Watchers. DID IT
  2. Drink my water DID IT
  3. Eat breakfast DID IT 4/7 days
  4. No late night snacking except for tomorrow night DID REALLY GOOD WITH THIS
  5. Exercise 3 days I didn't get to the gym but I worked out around the house
  6. Get back on the Couch to 5K Nope
  7. Take a little bit of time for myself now that classes have started back up. NOPE.
I am ok with the the goals that I accomplished so I am not going to beat myself up over them. Here are this weeks goals:
  1. Continue with my Weight Watchers
  2. Drink my water
  3. Eat breakfast
  4. No late night snacking except for tomorrow night
  5. Exercise 3 times
  6. GET TO THE GYM to start my C25K.
  7. time for myself... this is a BIG ONE
That's it folks! Good luck on your weight loss and I'll see you on the skinny side

Weigh-in Wednesday: Rethink Your Shrink Week 2

Rethink Your Shrink!

Rethink Your Shrink is about changing from the inside. It’s about looking back so that you can move forward by changing the present. We will re-evaluate our eating habits, our patterns, our obstacles and our activity levels. We will take with us what worked in 2009 and dispose of what didn’t.

Today is the beginning of the second week of the new and amazing Rethink Your Shrink Challenge over at the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans, if you haven't joined us yet you still can. It is amazing and fun. I have been a member of the sisterhood for just over a year now and I couldn't be happier with the knowledge that I have gotten and the friendships that I have been blessed with. Here are my goals from last week:
  1. Get back on track with Weight Watchers Online, *BTW they are running a promotional thing right now were if you sign up you get your registration fees waived* DID IT!!! And have been doing REALLY well with my journaling/tracking
  2. Start drinking more water. I want to drink at least 200 ozs per day. This would mean I have to fill my water bottle 5 times, and I know that I can do it. So if you happen to live near me and you see me without my water bottle... could you make a point to point it out *Hey... I never said I could do this all on my own* ROCKED IT... I didn't even need to be reminded to bring my water bottle when I left the house.
  3. Start the Wii Active 30 day challenge again. When I was doing it before I was doing really well with it, I just have to get back on track. I didn't do this part :( I did however at least do some major cardio around the house. I made certain that I walked up and down my stairs at least 50 times/day.
  4. Start going to the Gym again. This could take some serious work since my kids are not that fond of the child watch program, but I will have to figure something out... I went twice...
  5. No late night snacking except for my "Thursdays at Fridays" and even then I want to keep it light and no so unhealthy I am doing awesome with this... I did have one night where I had a small bowl of popcorn but it had no butter or salt so I don't think it would too bad of a cheat.
  6. Take it easy on the 'beverages' tomorrow, New Years Eve. Did you know the kind of hidden calories that are snuck into those drinks?? I mean it is crazy. I did ok...

Here are my numbers from last week:
Starting Weight: 239.4 lbs
Starting BMI:  41.1
Starting Body Fat %: 53.9%

Here are this week's numbers:
Weight: 237 lbs.
BMI :  40.7
Body Fat: 51.1%

Week's Results:

DOWN 2.4 lbs
DOWN .4 for my BMI
DOWN 2.8 % of Body Fat

Here are this weeks goals:
  1. Continue to track/journal my food using the Weight Watchers Online Tools.
  2. Drink 200 ozs of water per day
  3. Exercise at least 3 times per week
  4. In addition to my 3 times a week of exercise I would like to start the Couch to 5K program back up.
  5. No late night snacking except for my Thursday night out w/ friends and make healthy choices while doing so.
  6. REMEMBER to eat breakfast...
I think those are some good goals for the week... See you next week :)

True Confessions Tuesday

The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans True Confessions
Well here goes my confessions of the past week. As you know True Confessions Tuesday is a new fun thing that my sisters (and brothers) over at The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans are doing. Basically we tell the good, the bad and the ugly from the week in the past... so here are my True Confessions Tuesday

  1. I did rather well for my New Years Eve. I went out with my husband, cousin and her husband for dinner... made good choices and only had two drinks....well then after dinner I joined up with some other friends and while I didn't make any more bad food choices I did have a few more drinks and a couple sodas.
  2. Yesterday I ate 3 chocolate truffles that a evil good  friend gave me the recipe for after our annual cookie exchange night. She stated the night of the cookie exchange that the truffles were 100 calories each....thankfully I made mine much smaller so they were only 50 calories each... but still it was a bad choice.
  3. I had a Venti Pumpkin Spice Latte today from Starbucks and forgot to ask for skim milk and for them to hold the whip cream... 11 points down the drain for a single cup of coffee... BUT I did go for a pretty hellish walk (Just as my friend she was there) and ending up 'earning' 9 activity points so it all turned out ok in my book. I did journal the points and have not gone over my points... in fact I still have 5 points left and since I promised myself that I would not eat past 7pm I am still in the black for points...although it is a BAD BAD thing to not eat your points each day.
  4. I admit that I bought some not to healthy crackers today at the store and that I am not allowing myself to eat them (the appropriate serving and journaling the points of course) until after Weigh in Wednesday because I KNOW they have a lot of salt...
  5. I was able to drink most of the water that I commited myself to drinking... I have also visited more public restrooms than I would like to admit because of this commitment.
I think that is good for now :) Happy Tuesday everyone!

Weigh-in Wednesday Rethink Your Shrink Week 1

Rethink Your Shrink!

Today is the start of the newest challenge over at the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans. If you are not familiar with the Sisterhood I really think you need to pop over there and check them out. You can click on THIS LINK and it will take you over to the Sisterhood and the newest challenge that they have set out for us. The details for the newest challenge are all laid out for you (and me) by clicking this link and we can be on this road to a healthier me and you in no time.

This new challenge is set up to last 7 weeks so this will be the first weigh in of the challenge. I do have to post one portion of the post from the Sisterhood on my blog because it spoke to me so clearly *Thank you Christie*... so here it is:
I also think that it is important for us to set goals that are attainable for ourselves. Does that mean that I don't think I should say "I want to weigh 135lbs", no I am not saying that... but if I had that as my only goal I would easily get discouraged because that is literally over 100 pounds that I need to lose, so instead my first goal is to get myself under 200lbs, so you see that is still a fairly large goal (as it means I need to lose 40lbs), but at least it is a smaller goal for me. I have also decided that I am going to start listing my BMI on my challenges as well so here are my starting stats for the Rethink Your Shrink Challenge:

Starting Weight: 239.4 lbs
Starting BMI:  41.1
Starting Body Fat %: 53.9%

So here goes... Here are my goals for this week:

  1. Get back on track with Weight Watchers Online, *BTW they are running a promotional thing right now were if you sign up you get your registration fees waived*
  2. Start drinking more water. I want to drink at least 200 ozs per day. This would mean I have to fill my water bottle 5 times, and I know that I can do it. So if you happen to live near me and you see me without my water bottle... could you make a point to point it out *Hey... I never said I could do this all on my own*
  3. Start the Wii Active 30 day challenge again. When I was doing it before I was doing really well with it, I just have to get back on track.
  4. Start going to the Gym again. This could take some serious work since my kids are not that fond of the child watch program, but I will have to figure something out...
  5. No late night snacking except for my "Thursdays at Fridays" and even then I want to keep it light and no so unhealthy
  6. Take it easy on the 'beverages' tomorrow, New Years Eve. Did you know the kind of hidden calories that are snuck into those drinks?? I mean it is crazy.
I think those some pretty good goals for this week. So in the event that you would like to join the party please feel free to stop over at the Sisterhood and join in the fun the more the merrier is definately the theory over there... as long as it is the more people trying to get/stay healthy.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

True Confessions Tuesday

Today is Tuesday and the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans has started a new system in which each day of the week is going to have a set 'thing' to be discussed, and I want to jump on the wagon and get in action with my sisters (and brothers) over at the Hood.
The schedule for the Sisterhood and their themed posting as such:
Motivation Monday
True Confessions Tuesday
Weigh-in Wednesday
Thursday's 3's
Fitness Friday
The Saturday Review
Recipe Sunday

I am looking forward to this new and fun schedule for my journey to a thinner (and healthier) me... too bad my family is less than impressed that they are along for the ride on this new journey... *insert evil laugh here*, but since I do the shopping and the cooking I guess they are on board whether they like it or not.

So here are my True Confessions Tuesday:
  1. I had like NO water the past two weeks... unless of course you count the apple juice that I have been drinking as if it were water or the water in the coffee that I have been consuming? No...well then I have definately not have not had the right amount of water consumption
  2. I made this wonderful chocolate treats for the holidays and pretty much finished them off myself...I mean my kids and the rest of my family helped too, but for example last night I told my 4 year old she couldn't have one because there was only one left and I wanted it... that is just WRONG mommy... plain wrong.
  3. I have had NO activity other than falling down my stairs (don't worry I'm ok and it really is a daily happening around here), and chasing my cousin's dog who got out of the house yesterday and almost got run over by the snow plow.
  4. Aside from all the 'garbage' food I have had to eat I have been doing pretty good with the rest of my eating... that should count for something right?? ok.. so it doesn't but you can't blame the fat girl for trying
  5. I am so afraid of the new scale that I bought yesterday...but I will do it anyways...tomorrow that is
That's it for True Confessions Tuesday... see you tomorrow for Weigh-in Wednesday..

Weigh-in-Wednesday Shrink-a-versary Week 7

Shrink-a-Versary Challenge with the Sisterhood!
It is Wednesday, and you know what the means... it means we have to get yourselves over to the scale and see just how much damage we have caused by not exactly following our goals that we set for the previous week. Last week my goals were:

  1. Get back on the program. This means, keeping track in my food journal every single thing I eat, sticking to my points and NO CHEATING. *accomplished to a point...I used my 'extra points*
  2. Drink 243 ozs of water each day.*mostly met, I managed to drink 200ozs*
  3. EXERCISE...my goal is to walk at least twice this week and also do some exercises at home with my Wii Active*didn't do at all... I tried to be more active, but with finals and all the other crap going on it just didn't happen*
  4. NO SNACKING AFTER 7pm...and IF I go out tomorrow night I am only going to have water to drink...* did this except for last Tuesday when I did in fact have two drinks and also a snack, but at least I shared the snack with a friend*
  5. Get more sleep... for example last night I got about an hour of sleep... not cool. * Not even close*
So when I stepped on the scale today and saw 238.2 I was really excited. This is a loss of 5.1 lbs, this loss puts me at my lowest weight for the challenge (by .6lbs but I am taking it), and here is to the hope that it just keeps doing down. It is going to be hard because there are several things that I know are coming up that could easily ruin the hard work I have already put in but I have got to work hard to keep this weight coming off. I would LOVE to be at my goal weight by my 30th birthday next year, (which is almost unrealistic because it is over 100lbs) I at least want to be set squarely well below the 200 mark. So here are my goals for the upcoming week:

  1. Stay on the plan... journal food and keep track of points
  2. drink my water 200 ozs at least.
  3. limit the 'added' stuff to my coffee each morning, it isn't the coffee that is bad for me, it is the need for the tbsp of sugar and the 2 tbsp of the creamer....
  4. exercise at least twice -- even if it is just at home.
  5. No snacking after 7pm. Small exception for tomorrow night which is 'my night', although I do want to be very careful since I will be attending my MOMS Club Annual cookie exchange and well the treats aren't exactly friendly...especially considering I am making a recipe that calls for 1/2 pound of butter...ugh.
  6. be smart... try to get more sleep
  7. this is more of a 'mental' health goal rather than a weight loss, but it is just as important... remember to be thankful for what I have... there are struggles in my life right now, but I need to be thankful for my amazing children, a husband who loves me (and even likes me some times), and amazing friends who love me and are so supportive without ever passing judgement. I AM BLESSED and I need to be thankful for that...
Good luck to everyone who is doing this with us... there is still time to join in the fun if you'd like... in this case the more the merrier :) If you'd like to join please stop over to The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans... *boys can join too*

*EDITED TO ADD* I just went to my Weight Watchers Tools to enter my weight for today... I have officially lost 21.8 lbs since I started losing weight in June... WOW!!!

Weigh in Wednesday Shrink-a-versary Week 6

Shrink-a-Versary Challenge with the Sisterhood!

Today is Wednesday, and I am most certainly NOT impressed with my weigh in today. Today the scale said 243.3 lbs. This is a gain from two weeks ago of 4.5 lbs. I could blame the holidays, the traveling, the visit from my 'friend'... I could blame alot of things, but honestly it all comes down to me falling off the wagon and stress eating... ALOT.

So my goals are to get my arse back on track and get with the program...plain and simple. So here are my goals for the week:
  1. Get back on the program. This means, keeping track in my food journal every single thing I eat, sticking to my points and NO CHEATING.
  2. Drink 243 ozs of water each day.
  3. EXERCISE...my goal is to walk at least twice this week and also do some exercises at home with my Wii Active
  4. NO SNACKING AFTER 7pm...and IF I go out tomorrow night I am only going to have water to drink...
  5. Get more sleep... for example last night I got about an hour of sleep... not cool.
I think those are good goals, and hopefully I can get my butt back in gear and on track. Good luck everyone!!

Weigh in Wednesday - Shrink-a-versary Week 4

Shrink-a-Versary Challenge with the Sisterhood!
Today is Wednesday...and we all know what that means... WEIGH IN DAY and the beginning of week 4 of the Shrink-a-versary challenge over at the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans. If you haven't joined in on the fun yet, please feel free to do so...and no you don't have to be a girl..we have boys there too.

This week was a good one for me as this morning when I stepped on the scale it read 238.8. This means that I have lost 2 lbs since last week, which works for me. I have been working really hard on eating the right things and also on making certain that I am taking time through out the day to eat. I have this horrible 'mom' habit, that I spend so much time running after the kids, trying to fit in my work hours for the March of Dimes, school work, house work *you know the drill for those of you who 'just' stay home like I do* that I often forget to eat...heck the other day I even forgot to feed my kids... (hey when they brought it to my attention at 1:30 that they still hadn't eaten I made sure they had an appropriate lunch of PB sandwiches, apple slices and cheetos...they had milk too..) so this in turn would turn into me being starving after the kids were in bed and when it is certainly not the best time to eat. But this week I made a very good effort to stay on top of it... granted I snacked more than anything, but it was things like apple slices while in the pick up lane at school, or a bowl of cheerios  while checking my email in the morning... for me it was a success.
My goals this week are:
  • continue to journal my food and track my points
  • continue to drink 200 ozs of water
  • exercise 3 days this week
  • no snacks after 7pm *except for Thursday and then only a light snack*
  • stay OUT of the 240s apparently my body is too comfortable here...no more 240...
I think those are good goals for this week...especially since I know I am gonna have to get strict with myself the following week with Thanksgiving coming up...thankfully we are going to the in-laws so it will be easier to say no to some of the tempting foods...because I will be to busy chasing my babies :)

Weight In Wednesday - Shrink-a-versary Week3

Shrink-a-Versary Challenge with the Sisterhood!

Today is Wednesday and that means that it is weigh in day over at the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans. Today is also the start of week 3 for the Shrink-a-versary challenge that has been issued. So far this challenge has been a lot of fun. My weight today is 240.8lbs which puts me at at a .4 lbs loss this week (NOT COOL-- but a loss is better than a gain right??)
And in fact I even participated in a fun activity challenge called the EASActive 5K. Thanks to Melissa, I was able to actually participate in this challenge and I FINISHED IT. Here are pictures from the 5K courtesy of Melissa...one of the most amazing photographers that I know...and YES she does them for other people and her prices are AMAZING and she ROCKS I was supposed to post them Monday, but I didn't because I was a space cadet and forgot we were supposed to do it then... ha.

Here we are at start of the race...
Mae, Melissa, Me, Lori, Megan and Kate

Kate and I on our way back

supporting a friend at the finish line

WE DID IT!!!

This week I learned alot of about myself with this challenge... first and for most I cave to cravings. You see were were talking about Taco John's one day...and the very next day I HAD to have potato ole's... BIG MISTAKE... do not eat Potato Ole's if you have not been eating those types of food... UGH.

The second thing I learned (but kind of already knew) is that I am in fact an emotional eater. Friday was a HORRIBLE day for me and all I did was stuff my face...and not with healthy things either..it was bad people...REALLY bad.

The third is that there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with my Nike + system. I found this out during our 5K. We was literally right next to my friend the entire time... her plus system registered the 2.88 miles and mine registered 1.7  what the heck? I thought maybe at first it was because I have the pouch (remember Nike shoes and my feet hate each other)... but then I looked down and she too has the pouch...the exact same pouch... :( Off to the drawing board on this I guess...

So here are my goals for this week of the Shrink-a-versary Challenge:
  • Journal my food
  • stay within my points range and try not to use my 'extra' points earned by activity
  • actually earn WW activity points
  • drink all my water
  • no snacks after 7pm... except for Thursday and even then BE WISE ABOUT MY CHOICES
  • walk 3 times in the next 7 days.
  • get back on my EASports game with the Wii... when I was doing it I was doing amazing. Do this on the days that I don't walk.
  • And last but not least *this is a mental fitness and not a physical* think before I speak, and think again before I really speak... my mouth/attitude is going to be the death of me...
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

Weigh-in- Wednesday Shrink-a-versary Week 2

Shrink-a-Versary Challenge with the Sisterhood!

Well today was a good day... I am down on the scales. Today's weight is 241.2 which is a loss of 3.8 lbs this week... can't complain. Especially since my birthday and Halloween were in there as well as no exercise because of an ankle injury...
I will however be participating in the EA Sports 5K challenge this weekend with my girl friends over at the sisterhood here in Bismarck... I will be walking it, but I will still be taking part of it.
Goals for this week are as follows:
  • journal food and keep track of points
  • drink my water
  • exercise as I can with my injury
  • no late night snacking...especially while working on school work and work work
Good luck everyone

Shrink for Good Finale

Today is the FINAL day of the Shrink for Good Challenge. This challenge wasn't just about ME losing weight and losing it for good, it was also about an amazing community project in which Weight Watchers and Share Our Strength teamed up for an even more amazing cause to END CHILDHOOD HUNGER IN AMERICA. The idea of this challenge was for every pound lost, you were to donate 1lb of food. at the 'ending' weigh in last week I was at 238 even which means that I lost 7.6lbs for the challenge, so I donate 8 lbs of food. I ended up donating more (and some paper products as well) just because this is such an amazing cause that is near and dear to my heart. But at my weigh in this morning sadly (but not shockingly) I am back at 240.6... I know what I did and what I need to avoid doing that again (but damn it was fun)...

Here is the food that I donated (and if you look in the back you can see my paper products as well) to the local food bank... I know that it will go to a good cause...

Here is to the next challenge and for all of us working toward a common goal of getting healthy and ending childhood hunger... because while I know that this activity was supposed to be just for this challenge... I plan to continue it on with my weight loss journey.

Shrink for Good Finale

Today is the FINAL weigh in for the Shrink for Good Challenge over at the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans
And I am proud to say that my weight today was the same as it was on Wednesday 238 lbs. That means that for this challenge I have lost a total of 7.6 lbs.
I didn't realize that we were supposed to take pictures of our food but I know that Melissa took some pictures of the food that I brought to her house last night for our amazing LOSE FOR GOOD house party, which was a blast... sadly pictures and video have already been released on the internet... I just hope no one recognizes me in the videos... :) But at least I weight 7.6 lbs less in them than I would have at the beginning of the challenge.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in this challenge... you all did AMAZING and just think, not only did we lose weight, but we did it for an amazing cause too....

Weight in Wednesday SFG Weigh in 7

Shrink for Good with the Sisterhood!

It is Wednesday and we all know what that means… WEIGH IN DAY!!!
When I started this challenge my weight was 245.6 lbs and my weight today is 238, on the nose. That means that so far for this challenge I have lost 7.6lbs. I of course am completely stoked and excited about the weight loss, but more importantly I am excited about the fact that my 7 lbs weight loss isn’t just for me… it is for a cause to end childhood hunger.
My goals for this week are the same as last but with one added piece (well two actually) be careful with the food choices I have Thursday and Friday and be careful at Melissa’s house Friday night…it could be bad .
Good luck everyone and remember together we can FIGHT CHILDHOOD HUNGER and LOSE FOR GOOD.

Lose For Good Plus a Give-away

My amazing friend Melissa has the opportunity to join the folks at Weight Watchers in August so that she could help us gear up for this amazing campaign, and now there is an even better given away going one right now over at the Shrinking Jeans... you've got to check it out.... Come on everyone :) You know you wanna :)

Check out the AMAZING t-shirt that I won during one of the previous give-a-ways... OH..and btw it is a size Large :) Doesn't fit perfect by any means, and I hadn't washed it yet, but here's hoping it still fits when it comes out of the washing machine :)

Amazed...

Today I finally remembered to go to the Weight Watchers web site today to enter in my weight from yesterday, I realized that while I have been tracking my weight loss with my friends over at the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans but that I haven't been tracking my weight online. So when I put in yesterday's weight of 239.2 I got a really exciting little pop up and that was that since beginning my weight loss journey on 5/27/09 I have lost 20 lbs. I was like are you freaking kidding me? I personally think that is amazing... GO ME is all I can say, so you see I have earned this amazing little button below and you can bet your arse that it will be joining my sidebar :)

But last and certainly not least... THANK YOU SISTERHOOD because without you I KNOW that I would haven't have been able to do this... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Weigh in Wednesday SFG Week 5

Shrink for Good with the Sisterhood!

Well it is Wednesday which means that it is weigh in day...and well I am up 2.8lbs. This makes me angry... I hate it when I bust my ass and just because I am a girl each month regardless of how hard I work I still gain weight once a month... total bull crap if you ask me.... but what can I say right other than THIS SUCKS!!

Better luck next week to me. So here are my current 'standings'. I started this challenge at 245.6 and am right now at 240.8, which puts me at a 4.8 loss which means my 5# button has had to leave my page which makes me super mad... but what can I do right.

Here is next week! Good luck everyone!

Weigh in Wednesday SFG Week 4

Shrink for Good with the Sisterhood!
Today is weigh in day so if you have joined the challenge then get in motion and get signed up... if not there is still plenty of time to get signed up over at the Sisterhood... the more the merrier.
As for me this week, all I can say is GOOD BYE 240s... yep.. I finally got under 240lbs. My weight this morning was 238 lbs. That is a loss of 3.8 lbs this week and a total loss of 7.6 lbs for the challenge so far. That is like 3% body mass loss *I think I did the math right*...
My goals this week are the same as last:
  • Stay on track with exercise
  • journal food and stick to my points
  • water water and more water
  • no late night snacks

Good luck everyone! I know you can do it!!!
