Back from our 19 week appointment

We had our 19 weeks appointment today, and we got the "BIG" ultrasound that everyone looks forward to. We are happy to announce that the baby is happy, healthy and VERY ACTIVE. The tech could hardly get some of the measurements because the baby was so busy moving. We are 19 weeks 2 days and the baby is measuring 19 weeks 1 day and is 9oz, which is right where it should be. We got some really good pictures of the arms, legs, and even a really cute one of the baby's hands clasped.... to cute.

Oh, that's right you guys probably want to know the gender of the baby and of course the name as well. We are happy to announce that we are having a

BOY!!!!!!.

And his name will be Brody Allen Buell Krumwiede :) So aside from the Buell which of course is the 'mandatory' motorcycle/vehicle name, he will have the same initials as his Uncle Brian :)

Feel free to offer any advice for 'boys'....because gosh knows we don't know what to do with them around here... HA!!

An UPSIDE to toddlers....

We have recently transitioned Shelby and Avery from their liquid vitamins to "my first" flintstones and let me tell you it has been going so well. In fact if the girls see either Chad or I taking a pill or even eating sun flower seeds they come up and say "min" "min"... SO MUCH BETTER than the knock out drag outs of holding down a baby and forcing them to drink this foul smelling liquid that would stain EVERYTHING thing in a delightful yellow/brown color.

SO WOOOHOOO for flintstone vitamins!!!!

Moms Club Open House Pictures

Each year MOMs Club of Bismarck/Mandan has an open house in which we like to invite the community's Stay at home moms to join us in our wonderful club. In fact the Open House was how I got involved in MOMs Club in 2005. I have met so many wonderful people and formed some of the best friendships I have had in my life through this club. The members have certainly helped us through rough times and I am happy and proud to be a member.

Today's event had a WONDERFUL turn out and of course I couldn't have been happier when I saw a vehicle pull up with the license plate "4myTWINS"... in fact my heart skipped the beat at the thought of having some 'twin friends' for our girls (aside from my cousins' children who we rarely see because of schedules and their cousins for the same reason). The girls from that vehicle are 3 years old and Delainey was 'on them' like white on rice. She was so impressed with the idea that 'twins' can play with her... (hey give her a break, the poor kid knows 4 sets of twins and none of them play 'with' (meaning what she wants them to) her). The second set of twins to arrive were identical twin girls just one month younger than Shelby and Avery --- and I would like to point out that they are all about the same size WOOHOO!!! The four little girls played wonderfully together and we look forward to getting together with them again.... we can't wait.

After:... if you look closely on the very right of her eye, you can actually see the 'imprint" from the kid's shoe... it is kind of 'funny' now that we KNOW she is ok... :)

Prayers Please-- update one

As many of you know, Chad and I used to live in the Twin Cities in MN. Well yesterday was a horrid day for the Twin Cities area. A bridge on 35W (a very heavily traveled section of the freeway system) collapsed. At the point of the latest press 7 have been killed and at least 28 have been hurt. 20 people were/are still missing as of last night when they had to 'call' the search because of darkness and the currents of the Mississippi river. Sadly, we fear that those people will probably be added to the death toll. Please keep all these families in your prayers.

Please pray for all the families who are affected by this. This has been especially hard on me right now because I am horrible with 'what its' and of course after learning that our friends and family were safe freaked out because "IF" we had still lived in the Cities, Chad would have probably been on that bridge (we lived in Minneapolis and Chad travled that section 4 times if not more a day)....We of course are happy for our families, but are sad for those who are not as lucky as we. It just makes me sick to think of these poor families. Please raise them up in your prayers.

UPDATE #1:
It seems that at this time 8:50am on Thursday that the death toll is 4 not the 7 previously stated, the injured is in the low 80s and there are roughly 30 people unaccounted for at this time. Divers are now searching the Mississippi river looking in the cars that are beneath the wreckage. Families waiting at the 'survivor center' were notified at roughly 1am that the mission has changed from rescue to recovery at this point. Please continue to keep these families in your prayers.
