Have you seen this video/heard this song???

I have always been a HUGE Beyonce' fan... but after hearing this song and then seeing the video she is an even bigger favorite for me. I love how she is NOT AFRAID to say what is in her heart and on her mind...
She is definately a role model for our daughters...

On the first day of sickmas my child gave to me, one case of the croup.
On the second day of sickmas my child gave to me, two splitting head aches and one case of the croup.
On the third day of sickmas my child gave to me, the joy of sharing germ, two splitting head aches and one case the  of croup.
On the fourth day of sickmas my child gave to me, vomit in the hallway, the joy of sharing germs, two splitting head aches and one case of the croup.
On the fifth day of sickmas my children gave to me.... THE JOY OF BEING THEIR MOM, vomit in the hallway, the joy of sharing germs, two splitting head aches and one case of the croup.
On the sixth day of sickmas my children gave to me lovely gooey pink eye, THE JOY OF BEING THEIR MOM, vomit in the hallways, the joy of sharing germs, two splitting headaches and one case of the croup.
On the seventh day of sickmas my children gave to me coughs that sound like barking, lovely gooey pink eye, THE JOY OF BEING THEIR MOM, vomit in the hallways, the joy of sharing germs, two splitting headaches and one case of the croup.
On the eighth day of sickmas my children gave to me, fevers hotter than hades, lovely gooey pink eye, THE JOY OF BEING THEIR MOM, vomit in the hallways, the joy of sharing germs, two splitting head aches and one case of the croup.
On the ninth day of sickmas my children gave to me vomit in in MY bed, fevers hotter than hades, lovely gooey pink eye, THE JOY OF BEING THEIR MOM, vomit in the hallways, the joy of sharing germs, two splitting headaches, and one case of the croup.

* I hope that you enjoyed the song, because we certainly have not enjoyed being the subject of it... Please understand that our Christmas cards have now turned into New Year's Cards and we are hoping to be up and well soon....*

Weigh-in-Wednesday Shrink-a-versary Week 7

Shrink-a-Versary Challenge with the Sisterhood!
It is Wednesday, and you know what the means... it means we have to get yourselves over to the scale and see just how much damage we have caused by not exactly following our goals that we set for the previous week. Last week my goals were:

  1. Get back on the program. This means, keeping track in my food journal every single thing I eat, sticking to my points and NO CHEATING. *accomplished to a point...I used my 'extra points*
  2. Drink 243 ozs of water each day.*mostly met, I managed to drink 200ozs*
  3. EXERCISE...my goal is to walk at least twice this week and also do some exercises at home with my Wii Active*didn't do at all... I tried to be more active, but with finals and all the other crap going on it just didn't happen*
  4. NO SNACKING AFTER 7pm...and IF I go out tomorrow night I am only going to have water to drink...* did this except for last Tuesday when I did in fact have two drinks and also a snack, but at least I shared the snack with a friend*
  5. Get more sleep... for example last night I got about an hour of sleep... not cool. * Not even close*
So when I stepped on the scale today and saw 238.2 I was really excited. This is a loss of 5.1 lbs, this loss puts me at my lowest weight for the challenge (by .6lbs but I am taking it), and here is to the hope that it just keeps doing down. It is going to be hard because there are several things that I know are coming up that could easily ruin the hard work I have already put in but I have got to work hard to keep this weight coming off. I would LOVE to be at my goal weight by my 30th birthday next year, (which is almost unrealistic because it is over 100lbs) I at least want to be set squarely well below the 200 mark. So here are my goals for the upcoming week:

  1. Stay on the plan... journal food and keep track of points
  2. drink my water 200 ozs at least.
  3. limit the 'added' stuff to my coffee each morning, it isn't the coffee that is bad for me, it is the need for the tbsp of sugar and the 2 tbsp of the creamer....
  4. exercise at least twice -- even if it is just at home.
  5. No snacking after 7pm. Small exception for tomorrow night which is 'my night', although I do want to be very careful since I will be attending my MOMS Club Annual cookie exchange and well the treats aren't exactly friendly...especially considering I am making a recipe that calls for 1/2 pound of butter...ugh.
  6. be smart... try to get more sleep
  7. this is more of a 'mental' health goal rather than a weight loss, but it is just as important... remember to be thankful for what I have... there are struggles in my life right now, but I need to be thankful for my amazing children, a husband who loves me (and even likes me some times), and amazing friends who love me and are so supportive without ever passing judgement. I AM BLESSED and I need to be thankful for that...
Good luck to everyone who is doing this with us... there is still time to join in the fun if you'd like... in this case the more the merrier :) If you'd like to join please stop over to The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans... *boys can join too*

*EDITED TO ADD* I just went to my Weight Watchers Tools to enter my weight for today... I have officially lost 21.8 lbs since I started losing weight in June... WOW!!!
