How would you feel...

How would you feel if you couldn't get in contact with your fiancée after getting "that" feeling in the pit of your stomach that tells you something is seriously wrong? How would you feel if the airline would not release any information to you about your fiancée simply because your wedding was only a few weeks away so you were 'technically' not married? How would you feel not being allowed to help plan the funeral service of the person you had just spent 6 years of your life with and had planned to spend the rest of your life with? How would you feel if you could not contact the mortgage company of your own home (you and your fiancée had purchased the home together but since you had less than perfect credit it went into his/her name) when your fiancée died and you are being forced out of your own home?


These are problems that GLBT people face every day of their lives. It sickens me more than I can even begin to explain that some day my child may be denied the right to love whom ever they choose simply because someone else says that it is wrong? I mean to me the issues at hand are the same as they were in the 50's when it came to interracial marriages. People who did not support this claimed "the bible says it is wrong" (there is more coming on this topic as someone I know is currently reading a book called "what the bible REALLY says about homosexuality and so far it wasn't the actual 'act' of homosexuality that is wrong but the fact that it was 'used' to worship a fertility god and therefor worshiping a god other than then GOD was wrong), it will degrade the sense of family and morals in the country and on and on.

And for those of you feel strongly on this subject claiming it is 'wrong in the eyes of God" remember God said "hate the sin, love the sinner" and "let he who hath not sinned cast the first stone", oh yea, and my favorite... "Love thy enemies"
