Well my doctor appointment this afternoon was basically a waste of my time (and money). All my family physician would say is "you need to limit the Tums to not exceed 7 per day" and " Sorry about the headaches"... Wow.. and that was worth my $20 co-pay. He did draw labs to see if by some chance that my iron is low (mind you these are the SAME labs we have drawn each month at my OB's office) and also to check my calcium to make certain that I don't have 'too much' because of the Tums.
Oh well... glad I 'spoke up' about the problem...
