Last night my mom, aunt, uncle and his wife, my grandparents and Chad were watching the kids play outside. Shelby asked for the girls to be able to get their bikes out, so Chad went and got them. Shelby got right on and started trying to figure out how to peddle *this is the first year that their legs are even CLOSE to be long enough for them to peddle the trikes* and Avery just stood there looking at the bike. She soon got a very disgusted look on her face and exclaimed:
"Mine don't have no batteries...It won't work"....
Everyone was laughing so hard, especially my grandfather. He talks all the time about how kids don't spend enough time outside and that we are all too techno based... Once the adults stopped laughing Chad tried to explain to Avery that bikes work off our own batteries and that WE have to be the one to make them move.... she just stared at him with her cutely defiante *it won't be cute when she is 14* look that says "You've gotta be kidding me"....
Gotta love her....
